CANDID CONSTRUCTION SCOTLAND

Recently, I had the honor and the privilege of working with and for a lovely little family run company called Candid Construction Scotland. My pal, David approached me and spoke to me about web design and development, knowing that I code from HTML and CSS, he then asked if I knew anything about Squarespace, as his employer needed help redesigning their site. I said “Nope! No idea. Never used it” but I took on the challenge anyway.

Candid tasked me with redesigning their old website which was built in Squarespace, and to shift the site’s focus on a more “commercial” audience rather than domestic. I got to work right away, learning how to use Squarespace to build and design websites, and a surprising amount about Property Development and Joinery.

I worked closely with them every step of the way, even meeting in person several times at their office (Where I was given LOTS of free coffee) and constantly communicating over WhatsApp, as I firmly believe in offering a bespoke experience when it comes to web design and other projects. I prefer to work with a client, rather than for a client, to ensure I meet their expectations.

After a month or two, the site redesign was complete and was launched on time. I also added new pages at their request. I had such an amazing time working with Candid, and am so happy that my first ever client was so accommodating and patient. I appreciate Candid allowing for young talent (like myself) to shine through, and allow for a business model that reflects developing the young workforce.

I still work with them to this day, adding new content, fixing issues, or making slight improvements to the site.
